Thank you for visiting our website.  You will find information concerning West Baptist Church and our ministries.  Our church is a loving and caring church; we want you to feel comfortable calling on us for any of your needs.  We are here to serve Batesville and the surrounding areas.  We want to be your church!
Bible study is an important part of our church.  We have Sunday School classes for everyone in your family.  Our worship Services are a blend of hymns and contemporary music.  On Wednesday evening, we are involved in prayer service, STOP Student Ministries (7-12 grades), and Awana for the children (3yrs-6th grade).  Nursery is provided for each of our Sunday and Wednesday activities.

"We usually don’t visit a Sunday School class the first time we visit a church," Ed Ex-plained, "but we were frustrated." Melanie continued the conversation, "Ed and I have

Melanie was eager to continue: "We weren’t very comfortable about going to a Sunday School class. You know how it is. You don't’ know anyone. You can’t find the class. You don’t have a clue what they will be teaching. We were really uneasy."

visited about ten different churches since we moved here. Though none of the churches were bad experiences, we just weren’t connecting with the people. So we de-cided to visit a Sunday School class first this time." we were met by two nice gentlemen who had name tags identifying

themselves as greeters. One of them asked if he could take us into the building."

Ed continued, "They took us to a Welcome Center. Three people were standing at the table. We were introduced to all three of them."

Church wide Prayer

Sunday, August 1, our church will be observing a time of prayer. Everyone is invited to pray for God’s leadership for our church, the election of the Pastor Search Team, and for our next Pastor and His Family. You are asked to sign up for a 15 Minute time to come to the church and pray. Someone will be in the foyer all afternoon, so that no one will be here alone. There are sign-up sheets in every Sunday School Class and at the Welcome Center.

1) Members will receive a copy of those who are willing to serve on the Pastor Search Team.
2) Members will be asked to pray all week concerning this elec-tion.

B. Sunday Afternoon - Church wide Prayer
1) 11:45 AM - 5:30 PM in the Worship Center, 15 minute intervals
2) Prayer Guides will be pro-vided
 

2. August 8 (Sunday Morning)
A. Special Called Business Meet-ing for the purpose of electing a Pas-tor Search Team and voting on the constitution..
B. Written ballots;  Constitution ballots counted by Tabulation Team. Pastor Search Team ballots counted by Billy & Ruby Kite

3. August 22 - Recognition of Public School Teachers in Morning Service.

4. August 29 - Sunday School Em-phasis, Promotion and recognition of Sunday School Teachers.

5. September 12, 19, 26 (Sundays) Ministry Team Training, 1 - 5 PM, Each Team meets for one hour.

6. September 19 - Lord’s Supper in

Morning Service

7. October 24 - Quarterly Business Meeting (moved from the 3rd to the 4th Sunday) in Evening Service
