STUDENT MINISTRY

We have a diverse group of youth. Our goal is to reach the students of this community for our Savior and make them fully devoted followers of Christ. Our youth have developed a statement that defines who we strive to be. It is as follows:

"We are here to grow closer to God and discover his will in our lives. In so doing we will offer ourselves in service to Christ, reach the unsaved and fellowship with other believers."

Within this vision are essential elements of ministry, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and worship. We also place a high emphasis on the prayer life of our youth. In addition, we have several adults that work with our youth to give them stability and a place to turn in times of trouble.

We offer a wide range of activities for the youth to do. We offer summer camps, retreats, ski trips, conferences, mission trips, Vacation Bible School, bite flights, as well as a host of other activities throughout the year. Sunday school, discipleship training, choir, visitation, and a Wednesday night meeting called Chi Rho are among some of our regular activities.

With Batesville having two colleges, we try to offer several activities for them to be involved. We offer Sunday school and occasional Bible studies. We are currently in the process of organizing a Monday night service that will be geared towards youth and college age students. In addition, this fall we will be offering an adopt-a-student ministry as well as other ways of involving college students into the ministries of our church. We offer several group outings such as cook-outs, canoe trips, etc. These events promote fellowship and a sense of belonging.
